MTI air baths include an aromatherapy diffusion system to allow the bather to enjoy the benefits of this ancient form of therapy.* Aromatherapy is the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit. Different aromatic essences are used to induce relaxation, increase energy, reduce stress and restore balance to mind, body and soul.

MTI’s aromatherapy diffusion system is easy to use, flexible and effective. A small deck-mounted well houses a removable canister, which is used to contain the user’s fragrance of choice. Only a couple of drops of your favorite pure essential oil need to be added to a felt pad inside the canister (not included). Then refit the deck cap. When the air bath system is activated, the warm air produced by the blower passes through the canister. The powerful scent of the aromatherapy oil is then carried by millions of air bubbles through the water to the surface of the bath water, where the bubbles pop and release the aroma. The scent fills the air, not the bath. Of course, if preferred, bath salts and oils may be added directly to MTI air bath water.

Aromatherapy supplies can be purchased from retailers who specialize in essential oils. Small felt pads may be purchased from art supply retailers, or common make-up remover pads may be cut into 1″ squares.

The design of MTI’s aromatherapy system allows the use of a wide variety of pure essential oils, both singular fragrances as well as blends, that are available on the market. No proprietary pellets, beads or strips are required. MTI recommends the use of pure essential oils and blends because only naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants have any therapeutic value. Chemically produced fragrances may smell nice but have no therapeutic benefit.
