pr_109(Atlanta, GA – October 7, 2009) MTI announced today that they are offering their first continuing education course certified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

MTI, an expert in the design and manufacturing of high-quality tubs, sinks, shower bases and other products for the bath, has created a course entitled “Custom Solutions for Residential and Commercial Baths”. The course will earn one full hour toward architects’ continuing education requirements and also qualifies for Health Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit.

This learning unit focuses on how bathroom designs can incorporate advanced therapy technologies for the residential and commercial markets. Various water-based therapies are explored, along with their differences, benefits and applications. Additionally, issues of cleanliness and performance are addressed as they relate to meeting or exceeding the typical sanitary requirements in residential and commercial settings.

The MTI course is available through Hanley Wood University’s online educational portal Hanley Wood is the leading education source for architects and is a registered AIA continuing education provider, reaching over 88,000 AIA-registered residential and commercial architects. Hanley Wood University’s online syllabus makes it more convenient for architects to fulfill their annual educational requirements as it allows them flexibility in their schedules.

MTI is also an accredited provider of this AIA-Certified course for in-person presentations to groups in architectural firms, in kitchen and bath showrooms or at corporate events. If this method is preferred, it’s easy to arrange. Just send an email to with your request and contact information, and MTI will get back to you to set it up.

“We are delighted to be able to offer architects solid content as well as flexibility in fulfilling their annual credit requirements with AIA,” said Michael Kornowa, Director of Marketing for MTI. “In-person presentations are ideal because they offer the possibility for Q&A, but you can’t beat the flexibility of taking the course online. This is only our first course; additional courses are in the works”, Kornowa added.”
