An extensive line of Shower Bases distinguished by the name DuraMatte™. These are high-end shower bases made with a non-porous solid surface sheet. They look, feel, wear, clean and repair like MTI’s SculptureStone®, but they are not.

Nor are they as costly.

DuraMatte bases are formed from an innovative new material called Innoflex, a premium hybrid material that blends impenetrable, high-end solid surface with excellent thermoforming characteristics.

Technical Features of DuraMatte.

  • A hybrid professional-grade solution that blends thermoforming capabilities with the impenetrable high-end surface characteristics of solid surface.
  • Solid surface sheet (3.175 mm) is ground minerals derived from Bauxite ore mixed with solid surface resin.
  • Backed with titanium/fiberglass/resin.
  • Far superior to cultured marble and most materials currently being used for shower bases.
  • Although difficult to scratch, scratches can easily repaired with a fine grit sandpaper or Scotch-Brite® pad.
  • Optional pre-leveled foam base available.
  • Can be built using current MTI molds so many sizes and designs available.
  • Custom sizes and molds are available upon request.

    • DuraMatte shower bases are thermoformed from a solid surface sheet of ground minerals derived from Bauxite ore, mined from a quarry, mixed with solid surface resin.
