Unique, complex and ambitious are just a few words to describe the architectural marvel that is One Thousand Museum. The late Zaha Hadid’s final project, this stunning 62-story tower is now an architectural icon. The curvilinear exoskeleton is unique to the design style of Hadid, and those signature curves are carried throughout the dramatic common areas and interiors. “The lobby’s ceiling is formed by a series of rounded-edge panels also reflected in the reception desk; on the spa level, a tornado-like spiral stair does double duty as a welcome desk; and the interior pool on level 60 features a waterfall shear wall with a feathered pattern. Also in this top of tower, which is billed as a sort of luxury club/event space with incredible views, the exterior structural supports from each edge come together in the ceiling.” (Source: Architectural Digest)
Hadid’s first and only residential skyscraper in the United States, interiors feature the finest finishes and features. Custom European kitchens, luxurious, spa-like bathrooms, masterful lighting and panoramic views shape the lavish interiors. One Thousand Museum amenities include a state-of-the-art gym and aquatic center, full service spa, multimedia theatre, private bank vault and even a private helipad. Primary bath suites feature handcrafted MTI Elise freestanding baths. Famous residents include David and Victoria Beckham and soccer star, Paul Pogba. One Thousand Museum was unveiled in 2014 and completed in August of 2020. A project that was worth the wait.
